Sweet and Spicy Salad

 Green Leaf Lettuce


handful of chopped green leaf lettuce

1 slice of (no-nitrates) pastrami, chopped

 sprinkle of
- 1 chopped date
- 5 or 6 dry, roasted, unsalted almonds
- shredded parmesan


equal parts olive oil & vinegar
a dash of mustard


Mix lettuce, date, almond, pastrami, and prepared dressing.  Top with parmesan.  

Enjoy!  Nice with a glass of cabernet sauvignon and toasted black sour rye with a yogurt margarine.
