A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

Who ever knew such a tree could grow in Brooklyn so easily?  I've been putting these sweet delights in all kinds of recipes, finding they combine beautifully with many flavors and foods - including hummus, cream cheese, salads, baked potato combos, meats and curries (use clean scissors to "slice them up" easily) - I even tried figs in an omelette once ...  Wiki reports a variety of figs, the lovely branch pictured above, native to sub-Saharan Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and India - and also known as Brahma's Banyan and Rough Banyan.
