Congressman Hansen Clarke, who sponsored H.R. 365 to forgive student loans, is now sponsoring H.R. 4170, The Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012, which is also being supported by Occupy Student Debt, blogged about here, and linking back from there. There is a petition via the Occupy Student Debt link concerning the bill.
Don't know anyone like Hansen Clarke running for office in the Pacific Northwest. (Though feel free to share a name and substantiating link, if the reader knows differently.)
