Zombies

Physician For A National Health Plan/California report a successful zombie march and rally in Los Angeles for April Ghouls Day.. Protesters showed up as zombies, vampires, patients, or health care providers - some capitalists and CEOs seen lurking in the wings, as well;  patients were to be chased through the street throwing bags of money at the monsters.

Hmm .. guess who he's dressed up as!

Coverage here from InsightOut News:

The event was bilingual and also covered by Univision here with footage of the march and a brief interview about single payer with Alberto Saavedra of California OneCare;  Mr. Saavedra is also interviewed here in English on KPFK.

Single payer was recently defeated in California when Democrats caved and didn't support state-wide single payer legislation (SB 180) on a close vote.

California activists are also trying to introduce stricter regulation of health care premiums, among the highest in the nation.
